Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson was born on 10 July 1980. [1] She is an American actor, singer and entrepreneur. After being a part of church choirs as a young person, Simpson signed with Columbia Records in 1997, at the age of seventeen. The album she released as her debut album, Sweet Kisses (1999) sold 2 million copies across the United States and saw the commercial success of her single "I Wanna Love You Forever". Simpson adopted a mature look on her second studio album Irresistible (2001). The album's title track was her second chart-topping entry on the Billboard Hot 100. The Recording Industry Association of America declared it gold. In This Skin (2003) Simpson's third studio album sold 3 million copies in the United States. Simpson was famous for her relationships with Nick Lachey and her marriage to Nick Lachey. Simpson also appeared on the reality television show on MTV, Newlyweds, Nick and Jessica between 2003 and 2005. Following the release of her debut Christmas album ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004), which was certified gold, Simpson made her film debut as Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard (2005). She also sang the cover version of "These Boots Are Made For Walking" for the film's soundtrack. She dropped her fifth studio album A Public Affair in 2006 as well as appearing in the romantic comedy movie The Employee of the Month. Simpson began to move into the country genre in 2008 following the release of her sixth studio album Do You Know (2008). In addition to her musical endeavors, Simpson launched The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005, a sartorial collection that includes 34 categories of products. The company is the most successful celebrity licensing business ever, with more than $1 billion in profits to this point. She was also a part of the reality show The Price of Beauty in 2010. She also judged the fashions for two seasons of Fashion Star between 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married to Eric Johnson, with whom she has three kids.
