Melissa Fumero

Melissa Gallo was born in Lyndhurst, New Jersey,[1][2] on the 19th of August in 1982. "3"[4] The Cuban parents emigrated in the U.S. as teenagers. Her father was a teacher and worked in a jewelry store, her mother was a hairdresser and homemaker. Five years ago, Gallo grew up in Guttenberg but moved to Lyndhurst at age six. The family she was raised with were fluent in Spanish in the home as a family however, when her brother had problems at school her parents did not force her to speak Spanish. Gallo was a highly creative kid who loved writing and performing productions. Also, she began to take dance classes. After watching The Secret Garden on Broadway when she was ten years old, she became interested in acting. [2] Her parents subsequently sent her to acting classes. 5 She was a fan of theater classes as they and their classmates were more focused on their performance than their physical appearance. She continued to pursue dance and acting classes till she completed her degree. Her concern was that she would not be capable of paying for tuition at New York University, which she viewed as her dream college. Her parents secured a number of loans and spent money to make sure she would be able to attend. Also, they let Gallo live at their house [10for one year] before she went away. Gallo earned her degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. She received an Associate of Fine Arts Degree in acting.
