Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28th, 1967) was an American performer and actress. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders and also as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), who is a payroll manager, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, who was a police officer as well as a car salesman. The couple has three brothers. The singer began performing in clubs as a teenager, and often would leave her house in order to perform. The actress studied acting since her 13th birthday at Wooster School.
