Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. She was born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, which makes her the second youngest winner of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin's full name is Anna Helene Paquin. Born July 24th 1982 on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was an Canadian born New Zealand actress. As as a young girl, she was awarded the Academy Award for best support actress. Her performance as the empathetic and curious young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) brought her the honor. Paquin played Jane Eyre's main character when she was an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) and the lead role in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin was a part-time actress in the 1997 TV movie adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She portrayed teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
