Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish and half-English woman was born on April 16th, 1996 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a psychotherapist. His father is an Argentine who had Scottish and English roots. The mother of her is Spanish-English. The Taylor-Joy family was a clan of six children. Four are her siblings from her previous marriage to Taylor's father. They lived at Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria area of London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatizing and that she didn't take the time to learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school that she chose after being required to switch schools. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in productions. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting career. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to work as an actor. The opportunity was offered to her chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management she offered her a job as a model.
