Fawn Mckay
Fawn McCay Brodie, birthplace at Ogden Utah September 15, 1915. Reared in the Mormon Church's first family Fawn McKay directed her ingenious literary talents and remarkable research skills to creating an outstanding psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945 under the title"No Man is able to know My History. The title came from a funeral sermon delivered by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844 when he startled his listeners by declaring"You don't even know me." and you've never known my heart. Nobody knows my past. My history is not known by anyone. I wrote the 29-year-old Fawn: Since that moment of candor more than three writers have picked up the battle. A few people have even attempted to establish a medical diagnosis. The documents aren't insufficient, but they are contradictory. Compiling these documents - - sorting through third- and first-hand sources, and integrating the Mormons' stories to those of those of non-Mormons into a true time-line - is a thorny task. This is exciting and also instructive. FawnBrodie took on this professional challenge. Thaddeus Stewards was the outcome of her research and writing, made her a world famous author. The DevilDrives. Thomas Jefferson. A Personal History of Richard Nixon (1974) as well as posthumously Richard Nixon.
