Fawn Mckay
Fawn McCay, born in Ogden Utah September 15, 1915. Fawn McKay, brought up in the Mormon Church's First Family, utilized her writing talent as well as skills in researching to produce the fascinating psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945, under the name"No Man is a Master of My History, she used both. The title comes from the funeral sermon given by Joseph Smith who was the creator of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. His audience was shocked by his saying: "You don't even know my name. You have never known the depths of my soul." Nobody knows my past. I'm not able to tell my story. I wrote the 29-year-old Fawn at the time: Ever since the moment when he spoke, about three dozen writers have taken up the battle. A lot of people have detested him while others have glorified. Few have made an assessment. It's not that documents aren't there, it's that they are so contradictory. It is a matter of separating first-hand testimony from third hand inconsistencies and integrating Mormon-related narratives into a coherent theology. It's both thrilling and informative. FawnBrodie was a dedicated devotee to her profession. Thaddeus Stewards, the result from her writing and study, made her a world known author. The DevilDrives. Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon, An Intimate historiography (1974) Posthumous.
